Today I did the first Morning Meltdown 100 workout – Cardio Meltdown. I did this once the whole way through before, and I loved how it made me feel! My mom and sister did it with me, and we all work together so you would walk past one of us at the copy machine and hear “My butt feels so LIFTED” or “Look at my arm muscles!”. It felt soooo good! I started it a second time and was on day 60 when I injured my back. I have no clue what I did, but when I finally couldn’t take the pain anymore and went to a chiropractor, he told me I had cracked a disc. It took years for it to heal, and I have arthritis in that spot now. But, I know that workouts make me feel better, so I took a few advil, drank my Energize and got to it! I had to modify. A LOT. But I felt sooo fabulous all day long! It’s the best I’ve felt in a while. And no back pain! I’m actually looking forward to 4:45 am tomorrow morning when I get to do an upper body strength workout. Honestly, I can hardly wait! I almost did a workout tonight, but I didn’t want to overdo it. I soon have to go to the fire station to pick up John (he’s been a volunteer firefighter for 38 years) and I still need to close my last ring, but I’m sure I’ll get it done before I go to bed.
Today’s nutrition was not the best. I had my energize, a cup of coffee with half and half, a fifth avenue bar my sister gave me, water, one spoon full of the strawberry icing I made this weekend, a serving of the Hello Fresh Pub Shepherd’s Pie (our fave!!), and a bowl of cinnamon life with whole milk. I can tell I need more water before bed, but there’s no way I’ll hit my 150 oz goal today. But, progress, not perfection!! Tomorrow is another day!
See you bright and early to work out!
